Weekly homework
Dear 3rd grade families, On Friday, your child should have come home with their Mock Reading EOG. Reviewing this test will be the reading homework for the week. Many students did not prove their answers in the passage, which contributed to incorrect answers. Please go over this with your child and make sure they go back to the text and find proof for their answers. Proving answers in the text looks like underlining and/or highlighting words/phrases/sentences that provide the answer to a question. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher. Math homework will be a mix of reviewing previously taught concepts and this week's topic of measurement. Wednesday and Thursday's homework will be posted by Tuesday afternoon.

Dear 3rd grade families, Homework for this week will be similar to last week. Students will receive a hard copy of a reading passage on Monday. This passage is due Wednesday morning. They will receive another on Wednesday that is due Friday morning. Math homework will stay in the same format and can be found in the file links below. Remember that Tuesday (April 18) is our mock Reading EOG. Please make sure your child has a good night's sleep and eats a good breakfast on Tuesday. Have a wonderful week!
Hi families! This week will be the first without a Work of the Home project menu. As the end of the year draws near, so does the EOG. In class we have been learning test-taking strategies to make the end-of-grade test less intimidating. Starting this week, we are sending home reading passages with follow-up questions (formatted very much like the EOG) to give more supported practice to the students. When your child is completing this at home encourage them to use the strategies they've learned in class and give reading support when needed, but try to have them read independently (they will be required to do so on the EOG). These passages are being sent home as hard copies in your child's homework folder. The passage sent home today will be due on Wednesday morning. The passage sent home on Wednesday will be due Thursday morning. Math homework is the same as previous weeks.
Complete 3 activities below with your family by Friday. ** Families please note that these should be quality efforts and are not required for students to complete independently.
